Calvary Educational Broadcasting Network, Inc., will be getting our new transmitter on September 22, 2020. The transmitter will be lowered from the original 100,000 Watts to approximately 30,000 Watts. Although, some people near the tower experienced interference in the past, the engineer that built this transmitter, has insured us that it should not cause blanketing interference.
An engineer has been hired to perform tests at the tower site, with our transmitter turned on and off, to insure that the new transmitter isn't causing blanketing interference. Those tests will be performed between September 23, 2020-September 25, 2020. The data will be collected by the engineers and housed in our records, in the main office at KOKS.
In the event, that anyone in the public experiences blanketing interference, please contact KOKS/CEB at 573-686-5080, if the answering machine answers, please leave your name and number, so we can return your call. If you do not have access to a phone, write us a letter explaining the issue; please include your name, phone number, and address. The proper complaint form will be filled out and an engineer will be contacted immediately to come and investigate the issue/problem thoroughly. After his assessment is completed, you will be contacted, and he will explain the results of his findings, and the remediation plan. You will also be provided with the engineers credentials.
KOKS/CEB has a financial and technical responsibility to resolve any blanketing interference to radio and television reception, experienced by the public, due to our new transmitter.
All issues/problems will be reported to FCC immediately.
